What was that?
Simon has been getting up on his knees in a sitting position much of the evening. Or, grabbing hold of my arm, shirt, whatever was available, and climbing (yes, climbing!) across my lap to get to things. Just now he scooted/crawled (?) a little ways across the floor. He started by my knee and ended up two feet away. Here's hoping he's like his sister: showing a great deal of promise early on, but being perfectly content to go slowly. Eliza started getting on her knees and even rocking back and forth at six months, but refused to crawl until she was closer to nine months, and even cried when I made her do it! I somehow doubt that Simon will be so content. The new saying goes, "If it is out of reach, Simon is sure to go reach for it."
